The statewide Veterinary Professionals Peer Health Assistance Program provides comprehensive services to Colorado licensed veterinarians and veterinary technicians experiencing physical, emotional, psychological, or substance use problems. The program objectives are public protection and rehabilitation of veterinary professionals.

  • Comprehensive evaluation, case management, and monitoring for veterinary professionals experiencing physical, emotional, psychological, and substance use problems which could result in impaired practice

  • Education and information on prevention of physical, emotional, psychological, and substance use problems

  • Community resources

  • 24-hour information line

  • Support for veterinary supervisors and family members of veterinary professionals with practice affecting issues
