PAS has well established community relationships with universities, colleges, hospitals, supervisor groups, and professional associations. We provide education during student orientations, ethics courses, staff meetings, conferences, and employer management groups. Program staff serve as experts on topics affecting the specific professions. Presentations can be customized to specific professions; current literature will be available with content regarding issues that may be effecting the wellbeing of health and mental health professionals.

Presentation topics include:

  • Discussing how alcohol and other substance use affects us all

  • Increasing awareness of health issues that may effect practice

  • Discussing how the pandemic has affected our colleagues and our workplaces

  • Recognizing signs and symptoms of substance use in the workplace

  • Awareness of marijuana use implications in practice

  • Facilitated discussions regarding what compassion fatigue and burnout mean to health and mental health professionals
